Devotion
Humility is not self-deprecation or false modesty. It is accurate self-assessment. It is knowing your strengths without arrogance and knowing your weaknesses without despair. It is understanding that you are part of God's larger purposes. Scripture teaches that humility comes from valuing others above yourself and considering their interests above your own. Humility is freedom from needing to prove yourself.
Today’s Step
Practice humility today. Celebrate someone else's achievement. Ask for help. Admit a weakness. Let others shine. Notice how it feels.
Prayer
God, help me to walk in true humility. Help me to value others, to serve without seeking recognition, to lead without dominating. Help me to understand my place in Your larger purposes. Let humility make me strong, not weak.
