Joy Restored
Hope & Restoration
Scripture
Psalm 30:5
“Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.”
Devotion
Your sorrow is not permanent. Scripture teaches that weeping is for a season, but rejoicing comes. This is not dismissing real pain but acknowledging its temporality. After darkness comes light. After sorrow comes joy. After winter comes spring. This cycle is constant. When you are in the night of sorrow, know that morning is coming. Hold on. Joy will return. Your rejoicing will come.
Today’s Step
If you are in a season of sorrow, hold on to this truth: joy is coming. If you are in a season of joy, be grateful. Either way, remember that seasons change. Trust the coming morning.
Prayer
God, when I weep, help me to remember that rejoicing is coming. Help me to trust that darkness is temporary. Help me to wait for morning. Help me to hold on to hope even in sorrow.
