1 Timothy 6:6-8
“But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.”
Devotion
Contentment is greater wealth than riches. Scripture teaches that godliness with contentment is great gain. You entered the world with nothing and will leave with nothing. What matters is not accumulation but appreciation. When you are content with sufficiency, when you are grateful for basics, you have great wealth. Practice contentment. Notice what you have. Be satisfied.
Today’s Step
What do you have that is sufficient? Food? Clothing? Shelter? Love? Today, practice gratitude for what is already yours. Experience contentment.
Prayer
God, help me to find contentment. Help me to be grateful for what I have rather than focused on what I lack. Help me to experience great gain through godliness and contentment.
