October Begins: Depth and Darkness
Introspection & Depth
Scripture
Psalm 27:1
“The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear?”
Devotion
October arrives with autumn deepening. Days shorten. Darkness increases. Nature withdraws inward. This is a season for depth, for introspection, for going deeper. Scripture teaches that even in darkness, God is light. October invites you to look deeper into your own heart, to understand yourself better, to explore what lies beneath the surface. This depth is not morbidity but wisdom.
Today’s Step
What is October inviting you to explore? What depth is calling?
Prayer
God, help me to embrace October's depth. Help me to look deeper. Help me to not fear darkness but to trust Your light.
