Gratitude for Fall
Seasonal Completion
Scripture
Psalm 100
“Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth. Serve the Lord with gladness; come into his presence with singing. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.”
Devotion
Fall brings particular gifts: beauty, cooler air, the abundance of harvest, the coziness of gathering together. Scripture invites joyful gratitude for all creation. Before fall ends, thank God for fall. For the colors, the crisp mornings, the shorter days that made you slow down, the connection that cold created. Fall has been a teacher and a gift.
