Year Complete: Beginning Again
Gratitude & Renewal
Scripture
Psalm 118:24
“"This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it."”
Devotion
The final day arrives. The year is complete. 365 days from start to finish. You have reached the end, and it is time to celebrate. Not because everything was perfect. Not because everything went as planned. But because you lived it. You showed up. You read. You reflected. You prayed. You practiced spiritual disciplines. You grew. You were transformed. You were loved. You loved others. You encountered God. This is cause for rejoicing. This day—this final day of 365—is a day the Lord has made. It is made for you to rejoice and be glad. To recognize what has been. To celebrate how far you have come. To thank God for holding you through the year. And then? Tomorrow comes. A new day. A new year. Not a return to the beginning but a continuation of the journey. You will open a new devotional. You will continue practicing the disciplines you have learned. You will continue growing. You will continue being transformed. The year you have just completed was not the destination. It was preparation. It was teaching. It was shaping you for what comes next. Rejoice in the year that was. Welcome the year that is to come. Trust that God walks with you through both. This is the end of the 365 days. This is the beginning of whatever comes next. And you are ready.
Today’s Step
Celebrate this day. Rejoice and be glad. Honor what has been. Welcome what will be.
Prayer
God, thank You for 365 days. Thank You for walking with me through this year. Thank You for how I have grown and been transformed. Help me to rejoice and be glad. Help me to welcome the new year. Help me to keep becoming. Help me to carry forward my faith into whatever comes next. Amen.
