Becoming Who You're Called to Be

Jeremiah 1:5
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
Devotion
God knew you before you were born. He has set you apart for a purpose. Your identity is not something you create but something you discover and live into. God is not asking you to become someone else; He is asking you to become fully who you already are. The Stoics taught that we are born with a unique role in the cosmos; our task is to discover and fulfill it. Many people live their entire lives without discovering who they are called to be. They define themselves by others' expectations, by cultural scripts, by fear. But this is not your path. You are called to discover and to live out your unique calling.
Today’s Step
Who are you called to be? Not what are you good at, but who has God set you apart to be? If you do not know, ask Him. Listen. Take one step toward that becoming.
Prayer
God, thank You for knowing me before I was born and for setting me apart with purpose. Help me to discover my calling and to have the courage to pursue it. Help me to define myself not by others' expectations but by Your truth about who I am. Let me become all that You created me to be.
