The Grace of Patience
Waiting & Trust
Scripture
Isaiah 40:31
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
Devotion
Patience is not passivity; it is active waiting with hope. When you trust the process, when you keep showing up, when you maintain faith that God is at work even when you cannot see it—that is when strength is renewed. Scripture teaches from Isaiah that those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. Some things cannot be rushed. Maturity takes time. Growth takes time. Waiting teaches wisdom. You cannot skip this season. Trust it.
Today’s Step
Where do you need patience? Where are you trying to rush the process? Choose one area. Rest in faith that God is at work.
Prayer
God, help me to wait with grace and hope. Help me to trust the timing of Your work in my life. Help me to find strength in waiting rather than becoming weary. Help me to understand that patience is a form of faith.
