April Reflection: Growing in Grace

Gratitude & Progress

Scripture

2 Peter 1:5-7

“For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.”

Devotion

April ends with gratitude for progress. You are growing—in faith, in virtue, in love. This month you have learned about action, about service, about excellence, about grace. You have practiced small disciplines. You have spoken truth. You have shown up. You are becoming. Scripture teaches that we are being transformed from glory to glory. Growth is progressive. One day builds on the previous day. One month builds on the previous month. Celebrate how far you have come. You are becoming who God created you to be.

Today’s Step

Reflect on April. What have you learned? How have you grown? Express gratitude for the progress. Commit to carrying these lessons into May.

Prayer

God, thank You for April's lessons about action, service, excellence, and grace. Help me to see my progress without arrogance and my struggles without despair. Help me to continue adding to my faith—knowledge, virtue, love. Let me grow in You daily. As summer approaches, help me to carry these April lessons forward into greater challenges and deeper joy.
