Strength in Weakness
Vulnerability & Faith
Scripture
2 Corinthians 12:9-10
“But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for the sake of Christ, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
Devotion
Paradoxically, acknowledging weakness is the path to strength. When you stop pretending to have it all together, when you admit your limitations, when you rely on God rather than yourself, something powerful happens. Scripture teaches that God's power is made perfect in weakness. Your vulnerability becomes a doorway to God's strength. This is not weakness as defeat but weakness as honest assessment and humble faith. You are not called to be self-sufficient but to be God-sufficient. That is where true strength lies.
Today’s Step
What are you pretending not to struggle with? What weakness could you admit to one trusted person? Experience the freedom of honesty.
Prayer
God, help me to accept my weakness and to rely on Your strength. Help me to stop pretending and to be honest about my limitations. Help me to boast in my weakness so that Your power becomes evident. Let my weakness be a window to Your strength.
