“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
Devotion
Jesus offers a peace that the world cannot give and cannot take away. This inner peace does not depend on external circumstances—on money, success, health, or others' approval. It is rooted in knowing that you are safe in God's hands, that ultimately He is in control, that you are loved unconditionally. When you cultivate inner peace, external chaos loses its power over you. You can remain centered and calm. This is not indifference to injustice but deep trust in God's ultimate goodness.
Today’s Step
What disturbs your peace? Turn from anxiety about it to trust in God. Practice inner peace by remembering God's nature and His control. Find peace within.
Prayer
God, give me the peace that comes from knowing You. Help me to rest in Your hands. Help me to not be troubled or afraid. Let me experience the peace that transcends circumstances.
