Scripture
2 Corinthians 4:17-18
“For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”
Devotion
Your purpose is not just temporal but eternal. What you do matters not just now but forever. When you serve others, when you build character, when you grow in faith, you are creating something that lasts. The struggles you face, the growth you experience, the love you give—these have eternal significance. Scripture teaches that what is unseen is eternal. Your faith, your character, your love—these endure. Keep perspective. What matters eternally? How can you invest in the eternal?
Today’s Step
Consider your life from an eternal perspective. What are you building that will matter forever? How are you living toward eternity? Reorient your priorities.
Prayer
God, help me to see from an eternal perspective. Help me to invest in what matters forever. Help me to understand that my struggles and growth have eternal significance. Help me to live toward eternity.
