Purpose Expanding
Service & Purpose
Scripture
Matthew 25:31-40
“The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'”
Devotion
Your purpose expands when you serve those who cannot repay you, those on the margins, those easily overlooked. Scripture teaches that serving others—especially the vulnerable—is serving Christ Himself. This reframes everything. Your purpose is not just about personal achievement or family or career. It includes serving others in their need. When you feed the hungry, clothe the naked, visit the prisoner, you serve Jesus. Your daily choices to care for others are significant eternally. Expand your purpose to include those who need your help.
Today’s Step
Who are the overlooked or vulnerable in your circle? How can you serve them this week? Make a commitment to expand your circle of care.
Prayer
God, expand my purpose to include serving others, especially those who are vulnerable or overlooked. Help me to see Your face in others. Help me to serve with genuine love and commitment.
