Transformation Deepens
Renewal & Growth
Scripture
Romans 12:2
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
Devotion
Transformation requires renewing your mind. The world teaches you to think in certain ways: to value appearance, status, wealth, power. Scripture teaches that as your mind is renewed—as you learn to think God's thoughts—you are transformed. Your mind shapes your life. When you change how you think, you change who you are. This is why Scripture, prayer, and meditation are so important. They renew your mind. Let your mind be renewed. Let transformation deepen.
Today’s Step
What ways of thinking has the world taught you? How could God's perspective transform them? Choose one worldly thought pattern and replace it with a kingdom perspective.
Prayer
God, renew my mind. Help me to think Your thoughts. Help me to not conform to the world's patterns but to be transformed by renewing my mind. Help me to test and approve what Your will is.
