Scripture
Hebrews 12:3-4
“Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood.”
Devotion
When you face opposition—from people, circumstances, or internal struggle—you are not alone. Jesus endured opposition. Those who went before you endured. Scripture teaches that you can draw strength from those who persevered. Your struggle is known. Your opposition is not unique. Others have faced similar resistance and persisted. You can too. When you want to give up, remember that others did not. Remember that you have not yet reached your limit. Persevere.
Today’s Step
Who do you know or know of who persisted through opposition? How can their example strengthen you? Today, draw courage from their endurance.
Prayer
God, help me to endure opposition. Help me to remember those who persevered before me. Help me to not grow weary or lose heart. Help me to persist even when facing resistance.
