Purpose Lived
Calling & Purpose
Scripture
1 Corinthians 12:4-6
“There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them to each one, just as he determines. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in all people it is the same God at work.”
Devotion
Your purpose is lived through your gifts and service. Scripture teaches that the Spirit gives different gifts, different kinds of service, different kinds of working—all for the common good. Your purpose is not selfish but contributes to others. Your gifts exist to serve. When you live your purpose through your gifts, you participate in God's work in the world. This is deeply fulfilling.
Today’s Step
What gifts do you have? How are you using them to serve? Today, actively live your purpose through your gifts.
Prayer
God, help me to live my purpose. Help me to use my gifts to serve. Help me to contribute to the common good. Help me to participate in Your work through my calling.
