Purpose Transformative
Calling & Purpose
Scripture
Colossians 3:17
“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
Devotion
Your purpose transforms everything you do. When you do what you do in the name of Christ, when you do it as service to God, it becomes sacred. Mundane tasks become ministry. Ordinary work becomes worship. Scripture teaches that whatever you do should be done as unto the Lord. This transforms your perspective and your engagement. Everything matters. Everything can be done with purpose and prayer.
Today’s Step
What are you doing today? How can you do it in the name of Christ? How can your ordinary work become ministry? Today, transform your activities through purpose.
Prayer
God, help me to do all that I do in the name of Christ. Help my work to be worship. Help my ordinary tasks to be ministry. Help everything I do to matter eternally.
