Devotion
Real connection means celebrating others' victories as your own and mourning their losses. Scripture teaches empathy—the ability to enter into others' joy and sorrow. In September, when someone you know has a victory, celebrate it. When they mourn, mourn with them. This is the fabric of deep community. It is how we bear one another's burdens and share one another's joys.

Prayer
God, help me to rejoice with those who rejoice and mourn with those who mourn. Help me to deeply empathize. Help me to be present to others' joys and sorrows. Help community to be real and deep.
