Thanksgiving's Last Day
Gratitude Reflection
Scripture
Deuteronomy 8:10
“When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the Lord your God for the good land he has given you.”
Devotion
November ends. The month that was devoted to gratitude concludes. Before December arrives, pause and let gratitude settle into your bones. You have practiced thanksgiving for thirty days. You have named what you are grateful for. You have recognized generosity even in difficulty. You have allowed gratitude to reshape how you see your life. Now, as you close this month, ask yourself: What has gratitude taught me? How am I different? What has changed in my interior landscape? Gratitude is not something you do once and then move on. It is a practice you return to, a discipline you deepen, a way of being you develop. You will not remember every day of gratitude. You will not carry perfect thankfulness into December. But the seeds have been planted. Gratitude has become more natural to you. You are more likely to notice what you have been given. You are more likely to recognize grace. You are more likely to share generously. These shifts persist. They become who you are. As November closes, offer one final prayer of thanksgiving. Thank God for the month, for how it has shaped you, for the practice of gratitude itself. Then carry this practice into December and beyond. Let gratitude not be seasonal but foundational to your spiritual life.
Today’s Step
Reflect: How has gratitude changed me this month? What has shifted? How will I carry this into December?
Prayer
God, thank You for November and for the practice of gratitude. Thank You for how it has transformed me. Help me to carry gratitude into December and beyond. Let thanksgiving become my way of life.
