Vision for the Journey

Purpose & Direction

Scripture

Proverbs 29:18

“Where there is no vision, the people perish; but happy is he that keepeth the law.”

Devotion

Without vision, we wander. Not just physically but spiritually and psychologically. We lose direction and momentum. God calls you to clarity about your purpose and direction. This vision should not be a vague dream but a clear sense of where God is calling you and why. It should be grounded in His truth and character, not in your emotions or temporary circumstances. The Stoics taught that living with purpose—aligned with reason and virtue—is what makes life meaningful. Purpose acts like a north star, helping you navigate each day with intention. It filters distractions. It makes decisions simpler. It sustains you through difficulty.

Today’s Step

What is God calling you toward in this season? Not in fifty years, but now. What is your purpose? If you do not have clarity, spend time asking God. Write down what emerges. Let it shape your decisions today.

Prayer

God of vision, grant me clarity about Your calling for my life. Help me to see beyond my immediate circumstances to Your larger purpose. Give me the courage to pursue this vision steadily, even when it is difficult or unconventional. Let my vision become a guiding star that helps me navigate each day with purpose and confidence.
