Embracing Your Calling
Purpose & Vocation
Scripture
1 Corinthians 12:4-7
“There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them to each one, just as he determines. To each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.”
Devotion
You have unique gifts given by God specifically for the common good. Your calling is not about fame or status but about service. God did not give you gifts for you to hoard or hide but to offer them in service to others. Scripture teaches that the Spirit distributes gifts to each according to His design and purpose. When you live into your gifts, when you offer what you have been given, you experience deep satisfaction. This is not about doing something grand; it is about doing your particular something well, for others' benefit.
Today’s Step
What are your unique gifts? Not what you wish you were good at, but what actually energizes you and comes naturally? Offer one of these gifts in service today.
Prayer
God of calling, help me to recognize my unique gifts. Help me to offer them not for recognition but for the good of others. Help me to accept the role You've designed for me and to play it faithfully. Let my vocation become my offering.
