2 Peter 3:17-18
“Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure position. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
Devotion
Change requires courage. It means releasing what is comfortable, even if it is not true or good, for what is true and good. Change means admitting you were wrong. It means trying new ways even when old ways feel safer. As spring becomes summer, as April passes into May, allow yourself to grow in new directions. Scripture teaches that God gives us the grace to change and grow. The power for transformation is available to us—but only if we access it. Only if we choose change. Are you choosing it?
Today’s Step
What change is God calling you toward? Not next year, but now. What old pattern is ready to be released? Take one step today toward that change.
Prayer
God of transformation, help me to embrace change rather than resist it. Help me to have courage to let go of old patterns and to try new ways. Help me to grow in grace and knowledge, becoming more like Christ each day. Let me welcome the person I'm becoming.
