Healing Emotions
Integration & Wholeness
Scripture
Psalm 34:17-18
“The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
Devotion
Your emotions matter. They are not shameful or weak but part of your humanity and how you respond to the world. Healing emotions requires acknowledging them, not denying them. Sadness, anger, fear, shame—all are real and all can lead to deeper healing when experienced fully with honesty and compassion. Scripture teaches that God is close to the brokenhearted. He does not demand that you be strong or happy all the time but welcomes your authentic self—broken, confused, tired. In His presence, your emotions can be processed and integrated. Allow yourself to feel fully.
Today’s Step
What emotion have you been avoiding? Sadness? Anger? Fear? Let yourself feel it today. Journal, cry, talk to someone. Feel it fully and completely.
Prayer
God, help me to acknowledge my feelings without shame. Help me to grieve what needs grieving, to process anger with wisdom, to face fear with faith. Help me to know that You are close to my broken heart. Heal me from the inside out.
