John 13:14-15
“Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another's feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.”
Devotion
Jesus defined leadership as service. He washed His disciples' feet—the task of a servant—and told them to do the same for each other. Service is not beneath you or above anyone else. Service is the fundamental stance toward others. When you serve, you embody Christ's humility and love. You treat others as valuable. You put their needs alongside your own. Scripture teaches that greatness in God's kingdom is measured by service. The more you serve, the more fully you live.
Today’s Step
Who could you serve today? What humble task could you do for someone else? Set aside pride and serve genuinely.
Prayer
God, awaken in me a servant heart. Help me to see service as the highest calling, not the lowest. Help me to serve with humility and love. Help me to follow Christ's example.
