Facing Fire
Trials & Character
Scripture
Daniel 3:25-26
“He said, "Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods."... Nebuchadnezzar said, "Praise be to the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, who has sent his angel and rescued his servants!"”
Devotion
Sometimes we face fires we did not choose. Daniel's friends were thrown into a furnace, yet they emerged unharmed. Scripture teaches that God is with us in the fire. You are not alone in your trials. God walks with you. You may be tested, but you will not be destroyed. Your faith may be tested, but it will emerge stronger. When you face overwhelming difficulty, remember that God has not abandoned you. He walks beside you. You will emerge from the fire.
Today’s Step
What feels like a "fire" in your life right now? Claim God's presence with you in it. How can you trust His walk with you through difficulty?
Prayer
God, thank You for walking with me through difficult times. Help me to feel Your presence even in the fiery trials I face. Help me to not fear but to trust. Help me to emerge from difficulty stronger and more faithful.
