Testing Brings Clarity
Trials & Character
Scripture
Proverbs 17:3
“The crucible for silver and the furnace for gold, but the Lord tests the heart.”
Devotion
Trials reveal what is real in you. When everything is comfortable, you do not know what you are made of. But when you are tested, your true nature emerges. What do you prioritize when forced to choose? What do you value when everything else is stripped away? Scripture teaches that God tests the heart—not to destroy it but to reveal it and refine it. Your trials are showing you who you really are and who you are becoming. Let them clarify.
Today’s Step
What has your current trial revealed about yourself? About what you truly value? About where your faith really is? Let testing bring clarity.
Prayer
God, thank You for tests that reveal my heart. Help me to see clearly who I am and who You are calling me to become. Help me to use clarity about my heart to grow. Help me to be refined by testing.
